This illustration was created using vector-based graphics on Adobe illustrator, as part of a larger brief focused on engaging and testing our digital illustrative abilities.
It depicts my interpretation of the Namibian proverb/aphorism "Earth is the queen of beds.", which I decided to take literally, turning the Earth itself into a queen-sized bed, on which sleeps a continent girl and her island cat.

REFLECTION
This was the first detailed vector illustration I've done, and it allowed me to hone the vector tools of Adobe Illustrator, which I am now quite confident in. If I were top do it over or add to it I would create more depth and three-dimensionality with texture and shading, but I am otherwise pleased with the results.
